Triphala Powder
Triphala powder is a blend of Amla, Harad, and Bohera (also called Beleric Myrobalan). Together these ancient herbs create a wonderful tonic for digestive health. Triphala powder helps to aid digestion, relieve constipation, alleviate heartburn & indigestion, and is packed with antioxidants for the maintenance of good health.
What is Ghee?
Ghee is butter with milk solids removed (sometimes called "clarified" butter. To make ghee, butter is melted to a liquid and simmered. 3 different layers form as the butter simmers: a light foam on top, liquid middle (this will be the ghee), and milk solids sink to the bottom. During the simmering process, the top layer of foam is removed. Once the ghee and milk solids have separated well, the liquid is strained and the milk solids are discarded. Ghee is great to cook with because it has a high smoke point, is shelf-stable, lactose free, and has a robust, nutty flavour.
Cooking with Maple Syrup
Maple syrup is a great sweetener to use as a substitute for refined sugars. It also contains powerful antioxidants to help fight the damage caused by free radicals in the body. Keep in mind, maple syrup and pancake syrup are not synonymous! Pancake syrup contains high amounts of refined sugar and usually contains only artificial maple flavour rather than actual maple syrup.
